Description
SAUER&TROGER Secret Flow Chop Table Tennis Rubber
Secret Flow enables you to play a sizzling spin game with pinpoint accuracy.
A new type of top sheet has been combined with a unique sponge to allow your game to really ‘flow’.
The special high performance synthetic rubber top sheet enables high spin values, yet maintains superb control.
Play pushes and defensive strokes with a low trajectory whilst maintaining good speed.
The ‘Secret Flow’ sponge is soft+ tuned, allowing higher speed attacking shots whilst maintaining control, which is often lost with a tuned harder sponge.
The 1.5mm sponge suits the classic defender whilst the MAX version is ideal for the modern defender who takes every opportunity to attack with precision.
David Gatheral –
I play close to the table using a combination bat with S&T Hellfire on backhand for control and obfuscation. For my forehand I need a rubber that allows me to control the ball well but also attack with topspin when the opportunity presents itself. Previously I have been very happy with Dr Neubauer’s Domination rubber with 1.5mm sponge on my forehand however Bribar did not have that when I was placing an order and it didn’t seem like it would be available for a while so I decided to try something different but as similar as possible to Domination. Having spent some time researching on table tennis database I concluded Secret Flow Chop would be worth trying especially at Bribar’s reasonable price of £25.99. I bought a sheet with 1.5mm sponge and have been really impressed by this rubber. It does everything that Dr N Domination used to do but with more control and accuracy. It pushes really well and I can vary the backspin on each shot fairly easily. It chops most topspin balls really well with a virtually vertical stroke with a slightly open blade. Shot chop blocks work well for a reverse rubber. Drives are fast and controlled and topspin shots are very spinny. Loops away from the table, I can’t comment on but with only 1.5mm I guess I will not find this shot too easy. If you like to incorporate looping into your game, maybe try 2.0mm sponge but when I tried Dr N Domination with 2.0mm sponge I did find it lost too much of the control that I value. This rubber is not heavy even on my oversized Joola Chen Defender blade – mind you I use OX pips on the backhand which will make the bat light.
Other rubbers I have tried: Tenergy 05, 05FX, 25, 80, Tibhar Evolution, Sriver, Srviver G3-FX, Dr N Domination, Chop & Drive, Tackiness (C & D), Rhyzm, Green Power, Calibra but this is better for me than those rubbers. Only Domination Tenergy 80 and Calibra came close.
In summary, this is a terrific rubber definitely suitable for those who like to control a game at the table and attack when opportunities arise. Highly recommended.
