The vast majority of glues detailed on this page are VOC free. These will allow bats to pass ITTF testing devices and are also non harmful to the environment.
To use water based glue, spread the glue thinly on both the blade and rubber. Initially the glue is white in colour, but will change to become transparent. At this point, varying between 10-30 minutes the rubber can be fitted to the blade.
The drying process can be speeded up by using a hair dryer.
The other glues listed on this page contain SOLVENTS. If this glue is used for making up bats which might be tested at Table Tennis England event, they run the risk of failing.
These glues are ideal for coaches who regularly make up bats, great for long term adherence, easy to remove rubber and unlikely to cause damage to blade surfaces.
